SET Steak & Sushi: Exciting Lunch Menu Launch

Newport Beach's latest dining sensation, SET Steak & Sushi at Pendry Newport Beach, is thrilled to introduce its lunch menu, starting January 29th. Whether it's a mid-week work bite or a shopping break, this menu has something for everyone, including soups, salads, appetizers, sushi, and, of course, delicious steak options like the Chef's Steak Set.
The lunch menu will be available Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing a delightful culinary escape in the heart of Newport Beach.
Here are some of the exciting new menu highlights:
- Lobster bisque featuring Maine lobster, lobster mushrooms, crème fraîche, and a petite herb salad.
- Harissa grilled chicken sandwich with caramelized onion, swiss cheese, arugula, and secret sauce on ciabatta.
- Prime New York steak sandwich with caramelized onion, crispy shallots, provolone cheese, and horseradish cream.
- Big Eye Tuna burger with jalapeno, shallot, arugula, provolone cheese, and Yuzu Kosho Aioli.
- Maine Lobster Roll with herb aioli and crispy shallots.

Takács Quartet Returns to Samueli Theater

The Takács Quartet, accompanied by award-winning pianist Marc-André Hamelin, will return to the Samueli Theater on January 27th at 7:30 p.m. Their performance, described as "powered by shimmering detail" by The Guardian, promises an evening of musical excellence. This renowned quartet, consisting of Edward Dusinberre (violin), Harumi Rhodes (violin), Richard O’Neill (viola), and Andras Fejer (cello), is celebrated for their vibrant interpretations.
In 2021, they won the 4th Gramophone Classical Music Award for Chamber Music and earned the prestigious distinction of being the first string quartet inducted into the Gramophone Hall of Fame.
Pianist Marc-André Hamelin, hailed by The New York Times as a "performer of near-superhuman technical prowess," is known worldwide for his exceptional musicianship and dazzling technique in performing classical masterpieces.
